MYC TEAM

Morningside Youth Choir is run by Emily MacFarlane, assisted by Aaron Fife. 

The choir will be conducted by Emily MacFarlane supported by Aaron Fife and other volunteers. Whilst currently studying Law in 3rd year at Edinburgh University, Emily's passion is music and she sings with the NYCOS Chamber Choir, Edinburgh University singers and is a Choral Scholar at Morningside Parish Church. She also plays piano and violin with the University Symphony and Chamber Orchestras. Having undertaken conducting training, Emily looks forward to sharing her love of singing with young people in Edinburgh South. 

Aaron Fife, assisting Emily, is in his 1st year at Edinburgh University, studying Mechanical Engineering. Aaron plays the piano and cello, both to a high level as well as singing with various choirs in Edinburgh. He is looking forward to the launch of Morningside Youth Choir in September and is excited to be involved with running the choir.  

Emily and Aaron are assisted by a wonderful group of volunteers both supporting the choir and in the MYC Band,  which is led by James O'Donnell.
